JUAN MANUEL CORREA

FIA Formula 2 Racing Driver

Born in Ecuador and mostly raised in the US. Juan Manuel Correa races under the American flag and in 2019 was a rookie in the FIA Formula 2 World Championship. With a series of strong drives, 2 hard-earned podiums, a successful test with the Alfa Romeo F1 team, Juan was leading his teammate - Callum Ilott, who went on to narrowly miss out on the F2 championship title in 2020 -  in points coming into Round 9, World Championship.

From his humble beginnings racing karts in Ecuador to racing on the world’s greatest circuits, Juan was closing in on his life-long goal of becoming a Formula 1 driver. In late August, however, he suffered a horrendous crash that took the life of rising star Anthoine Hubert, a beloved competitor, and shattered Juan Manuel’s dreams in a blink of an eye.

On April 3, 2021, Juan Manuel Correa shocked the motorsport community when he drove out of the garage in the first official FIA Formula 3 test session, after escaping death, enduring a harrowing series of injuries, surgeries and mental trauma, and continued his return to racing after fighting back to race fitness so to fulfill his life-long dream of becoming a Formula 1 driver.



TV SERIES “LIMITLESS”

Currently in development of a series profiling Juan’s inaugural Formula 2 season that ended early in August in a tragic accident at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium. The violent and fatal accident ended Juan’s 2019 campaign and after narrowly avoiding losing his life, so began the long journey to overcome the enormity of both the mental and physical injuries he sustained. The series covers his return to racing, and the enduring spirit and determination necessary not only to compete at the highest level of Motorsport but to come back stronger with all the odds against you.
